About Us

California Percussion Rental is a resource for exotic and standard percussion instrument rentals.  Owned and operated by Trey Wyatt, Percussionist with the San Francisco Symphony, California Percussion Rental was founded in San Francisco in 2002 and has recently expanded to Los Angeles to serve the greater Southern California area from its new LA location.

In addition to the standard timpani, tubular chimes, xylophones, vibraphones, bells, marimbas, and drum rentals, we have exotic instruments available for rent including tuned gongs, tuned sleigh bells, tuned bell plates, bass chimes, tuned temple bowls, tuned Mozart sleigh bells, and tuned taxi horns.

California Percussion Rental celebrates its 15th year in the percussion rental business as of July 2016! A big thanks you to all of our loyal customers! Our inventory keeps growing with new additions including Walter Light Mark XIV timpani, a Schiedmayer 5.5 Studio Celesta and Schiedmayer Keyboard Glockenspiel, and new Russian Bell Plates!

For the 6th year in a row California Percussion Rental provided the entire percussion rental for the Aspen Music Festival & School. This summer was the largest order to date, filling two 53 ft semi-trucks!
